Shine crazier? What the what? I’ll get to that, but first, did you catch the new Nike ad during the Oscars last weekend, the one titled ‘Dream Crazier’?

If you are looking for a quick hit of motivation be sure to check it out! (link at very bottom)

Hot on the heels of our SHINE Goals Workshop in January, and last weekend’s SHINE Coffee & Connection Meet Up, I have put together a fun challenge for the month of March over in the SHINE group on FaceBook that I am calling ‘SHINE Crazier’. (Thx for the title idea Nike! lol)

Come join us in the SHINE group!

*As mentioned I am continuing to send out invites to all those I’m connected with as everyone is welcome in this group!

‘SHINE CRAZIER’ CHALLENGE

I’ll be announcing the challenge tomorrow morning (Sunday, March 3rd) inside the group, and my intention is for you to continue to make progress towards your personal goals – whatever they may be. Health & wellness, relationship, financial, career & spiritual, parenting related — whatever is calling to you, is A-OK.

And, for one lucky lady who completes the challenge there will be a prize awarded after March 31st!

If you haven’t joined SHINE yet, but you would like to, click on my FaceBook page and then message me that you would like to join, and I’ll send you an invite to SHINE. (*We have to be connected as friends first in order for me to send the invite).

If you are not on FB but you would like to participate, send me an email @ admin@fullflightlifecoaching.com and we will set you up another way.

One of the handouts from last weekend’s SHINE meet up. We chatted about the importance of having clear goals, how to manage obstacles / set backs and the need to be consistent.

Coffee & Connection

The SHINE morning coffee and meet up last Sunday was lots of fun, full of great discussion and we got to meet a lovely new SHINE member for the first time!

I also shared a few of my favourite motivational quotes, like this one from Tony Robbins;

“If you don’t set a baseline standard for what you’ll accept in life, you’ll find it’s easy to slip into behaviours and attitudes or a quality of life that’s far below what you deserve”.

Another quote that I shared was this one, which I think we can all relate to.

“In the absence of clearly defined goals we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia”.

Hmmm…I don’t know about you, but I’m not to keen on the idea of spending my precious life energy on daily acts of trivia!

And now for some poetry…

It makes me think of the poem by T.S Eliot; ‘The Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock’ (TLSOJAP) where the central figure Prufrock, laments over the missed opportunities, the chances he was too timid to take on love, and the overall indecisiveness that has dogged him his whole life, leaving him alone, regretful and acutely aware of the ‘eternal footman’ that awaits him (death).

‘I have measured out my life with coffee spoons’

and …

‘I grow old, I grow old. I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled’

…are two famous lines from ‘Prufrock’.

The poem is a MASTERPIECE and I have put a link to T.S. Eliot himself, reading it at the bottom of this post.

….but I digress… ack!

What I am trying to say, is that the ‘daily acts of trivia’ mentioned in the second quote above, and TLSOJAP both speak to the importance of being mindful in regards to where you are spending your attention, energy, time and money, because as we all know, we aren’t here forever.

And that is a wrap!

Off to bed…. (as it is evening as I write this). I’ve got a bad head cold and its time to chill!

Shine on lovely,

xo
